Happiness Unlimited is a unique one-of-a-kind, wish fulfillment program for adults with cancer. The volunteer, non-profit, organization was founded in 1988 by Leigh S.
Porges and Anne Delaney and is dedicated to the memory of their mothers, Carol G. Simon and Ruth Ann DeLaney.What is so special about Happiness Unlimited is that it is the first hospital based adult
wish fulfillment program in the United States. The charitable organization serves cancer patients at Union Hospital, Morristown Memorial Hospital, Overlook Hospital, Saint Barnabas Medical Center, Somerset Medical Center, Newark Beth Israel Medical Center, and Clara Maass Medical Center.
Dedicated volunteers at each of these hospitals understand the importance of positive thinking and the need for cancer patients to focus their energy on fighting the disease and getting better. This is why Happiness
Unlimited works so closely with patients, families, and friends, to bring those who could not otherwise afford it a memorable experience they will cherish forever.
Dreams come in many different sizes. But
whether it is a night out on the town with friends and family, a long-awaited second honeymoon, or a big family reunion, Happiness Unlimited is always there to make all the arrangements and pay the expenses.
We know that a diagnosis of cancer can be frightening. Therefore, our first priority is to ensure that, whatever the wish, it will turn out to be a worry-free, wonderful, experience for everyone involved.
Happiness Unlimited has been able to bring joy to many financially needy adults with cancer because of the initial generosity of William E. Simon, and the hard work of the
men and women who volunteer their time.
