CRANFORD
– Patricia M. Morris O'Keefe, 76, died September 17, 1999 at her home.She was born in Brooklyn, NY and lived in Elizabeth before moving to Cranford in 1980.
A real estate agent, chemist,
and golf range manager, she had been a past president of the Altar Rosary Society at St. Michael's Roman Catholic Church.
She was a sales agent with Degnan Boyle Realtors in Elizabeth and Westfield prior
to her retirement. She earlier was the manager of golf ranges in Linden, Union, and Cedar Grove. She also was a chemist with Exxon Corp. at its Linden research laboratories.
She was elected to
Phi Beta Kappa at Adelphi University, from which she received a bachelor's degree in chemistry in 1945. She was a member of the American Chemical Society of New Jersey, the Legion of Mary and the Association of
Knights and Ladies of Equestrian Order of Holy Sepulchre of New Jersey.
Predeceased by her husband, Maurice A., she is survived by her brother and sister-in-law, John W. Morris Jr. and Diane Morris of
Cranford; a niece, a nephew, and a great-nephew.
Services were held Tuesday at the Higgins & Bonner Echo Lake Funeral Home, Westfield, followed by a funeral Mass at St. Michael's Church.
Burial was in Mount Olivet Cemetery, Newark.
